As well as being a qualified Integrative counsellor, I also practice Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and have completed a BPS accredited course to become an ACT Practitioner.
ACT is a therapy which helps people live a meaningful life without getting stuck in a battle with their thoughts and feelings. It uses a combination of behaviourism, positive psychology and mindfulness to help you identify and move towards a more values based life. The focus of ACT is quality of life over symptom reduction.
